The Halifax Hurricanes Ball Hockey Club competes in the National Ball Hockey League (NBHL), in the Halifax Tier 1 division — one of the league's premier tiers in Canada — alongside the Nova Scotia Raiders, Halifax Citadels, Halifax Bluenose Battalion and Metro Monarchs.
The 2026 season was the club's breakout year. The Hurricanes finished as the division's 2nd seed, reached the Tier 1 championship final at the Greenfoot Energy Centre, and then made history as the first Halifax Tier 1 team ever to qualify for the NBHL Cup — travelling to Blackwood, New Jersey and battling to the Round of 12 before bowing out in a shootout.
Off the rink, the club shows up for its city — including showcasing the game at NHL Street Harbour Fest at the Emera Oval in downtown Halifax.
Play. Compete. Represent. That's the standard — ball hockey by the water, one team, one city, one goal.
